Tropicana Student Living, which offers suite-style residence hall and apartment living for UCSB and SBCC students, is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives to work the front desk.

Job Description:

Our Customer Service Representatives work at the front desk. During the regular school year (which varies by building/college), our general hours of operation are 8A.M.-11P.M. Mon.-Thurs., 8A.M.-1A.M. Fridays, 10A.M.-1A.M. Saturdays, and 10A.M.-11P.M Sundays. 7A.M.-11P.M. daily, during the summer.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones, receiving & issuing packages, sorting mail, camp check-ins/outs, answering leasing questions, all clerical work, etc.
  • Give informative and friendly property tours of Tropicana Gardens residence hall, Tropicana Del Norte residence hall and Tropicana Villas our upperclassmen apartments.
  • Be knowledgeable about leasing information, which includes pricing and contracts for all three properties - Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Del Norte and Tropicana Villas.
  • Serve as a source of information about UCSB and SBCC and their services, as well as Isla Vista and Santa Barbara area. • Complete administrative tasks, such as completing tour Guest Cards, writing Thank You notes, etc.
  • Tabling at SBCC on Fridays from 9:30am-1:30pm, and for Tropicana Del Norte and Villas at various locations, giving a brief speech about Tropicana to touring students and answering questions about Tropicana Student Living.
  • Working most holidays; must have flexible schedule; entry level is accepted.
  • Work with fellow staff in a positive and respectful manner.
